Product Designer

Aviva
2023 — Present

I design for MyAviva, a regulated financial services app used by millions of customers, with a focus on accessible, native iOS and Android experiences.

  • AI assistant (2026): Designing Aviva’s agentic AI assistant to let millions of customers self-serve.
  • MyWorkplace (2025): Designed and delivered the integration of employer pension services for 2.4M+ customers. Surfaced scheme-rule, branding and restriction constraints early, tested with customers, and shaped a cohort-based experience that keeps service-only members from ever seeing other Aviva products.
  • Re-platform (2024): Helped move MyAviva from .NET to React Native, and owned the Aviva Wealth app integration into MyAviva as part of the one app strategy initiative.
  • Design systems (2024): Led the rebuild of the Tigris mobile design system and built reusable templates and responsive foundations in Tigris 4.0. Consulted on ION, the new cross-platform system across web and app, feeding real product needs into its backlog and creating a phased route from Tigris to ION.
  • Leadership: Coach designers, run a weekly MyAviva design stand-up, champion native app accessibility, and present research and concepts to senior leadership.

"Liam has been at the centre of everything we deliver at AXA. He is such a brilliant and creative UX professional and will always take concepts, ideas and prototypes to another level.

His work with users and research principals come into play throughout and can be rationalised from foundations of user need, accessibility requirements and the best experience and design possible.

In my 25 years in this field I see him as a real talent and a pleasure to work with."
